A few sunny days

It's been such a rainy summer in Berlin, but yesterday the sun finally came back out. It was suuuuuuch a pretty day, and since Frau Tafel is dogsitting she invited me to go on a walk through the Tiergarten and have lunch there. I was really pleasantly surprised by it! It's a huge, beautiful park with lots of space for picnics or bike riding or whatever you like. Plus, there are lakes and ponds and a little canal that you can rent rowboats on or just sit by the edge and look at the water. It was absolutely gorgeous and definitely worth a visit if you're ever in Berlin.

On the way to lunch the dog, Tiffany, ran towards something and jerked Frau Tafel's hand, hurting her finger. It looked pretty bad, and after a while we were pretty sure she had broken it or something. I felt bad for her. We had lunch by the pond in the little Biergarten and then headed back to work.

strawberry cake :)

We had a feierabend since it was so nice to be outside, and I walked around my neighborhood a bit before going home just to enjoy the weather and scenery. Berlin really is so beautiful and interesting. It's such a great city to live in. Chelsea invited me to a movie last night but I had a headache by that point so I stayed in. I skyped a bit but otherwise I didn't do much. Quiet night!

Today was work as usual. We had a lot of things to do but it was slowed down since Frau Tafel's finger looked awful. It's all swollen and black and she definitely needs to go to the doctor. I think she's going tomorrow. Anyway, we got our stuff done and I even found time for some silly pictures of random things. :)

For lunch we went back to the Tiergarten, and today instead of pizza I had salad. It was really good. We also had a rhubarb and cherry cake with our coffee. It was all really nice and we talked about my internship and what I'd learned from it. She's a nice lady. Then we let Tffany run around and play with the other dogs in the Tiergarten. It was a nice afternoon all in all.

We left a bit early again today, and tonight I'll meet up with my friend Chelsea and Savino, who I met in Marburg. That'll be a fun time I'm sure :)

I can't believe how fast the summer has gone...in a little over a week i'll be back in GA and about to start my last college semester! Crazy!
